A boat engine spends most of its time at sustained high load, which makes calibration quality more important than headline power. We optimise ignition timing and fuelling so the engine reaches planing speed sooner and holds cruise revs with less throttle — that is where the fuel saving on a marine diesel comes from.

On petrol outboards and sterndrives the work is mainly in the ignition map and in the upper rev range, where the factory calibration is usually conservative. On inboard diesels the emphasis is on low-end torque and on consumption at cruise.

We do not physically remove or modify any hardware — we only recalibrate the ECU software map. Compliance with the emissions regulations in force in your country remains the responsibility of the vehicle owner.
