Full decat / 2nd lambda off: catalyst and rear O2 sensor monitoring in the ECU
On petrol engines the ECU watches catalyst efficiency through the rear (post-cat) lambda sensors. When the catalyst is removed for a sports exhaust, damaged, or replaced with a high-flow part, the ECU sees it immediately and turns on the check-engine light (P0420/P0430 and similar).
Typical problems
- Catalyst efficiency below threshold — P0420/P0430 after a downpipe or decat exhaust.
- Rear lambda faults — heater or signal errors from sensors that no longer sit in the right place.
- Fuel trim influence — on some ECUs the rear sensor corrects the mixture; without proper calibration the engine runs off-target.
What we do in the file
- Catalyst efficiency diagnosis disabled.
- Rear (2nd) lambda sensors disabled, front sensor control left untouched.
- OPF/GPF (petrol particulate filter) off when required.
- Combined with Stage 1/2 and Pop & Bang if requested.
Supported vehicles
Petrol cars and motorcycles with Bosch MED17/MEVD17/MG1, Siemens/Continental Simos, Delphi, Marelli and others.
Decat, OPF off and similar modifications are intended for motorsport and off-road use where the law allows it. The workshop installing the file is responsible for the use of the vehicle on public roads.
How to order
Register in the AUTO-REMAP file service, upload the original read of the ECU, tick Full decat / 2nd lambda together with any other options you need, and download the modified file — usually within minutes, complex ECUs within working hours. Checksums are corrected automatically.
