Exhaust flap disable: control and monitoring of exhaust valves in the ECU

Many sports and premium cars have flaps in the exhaust that open and close depending on mode, RPM and load. When an aftermarket exhaust is fitted, the flap actuator is removed or fails, the ECU logs a fault; owners of tuned cars also often want the flap open all the time.
