The Hilux, the Land Cruiser, the D-Max, the L200 and the Navara are the work trucks of half the world - mines and farms in Africa, contractors in the Middle East, stations in Australia, fleets in Latin America. Most of them run Japanese electronics: Denso on Toyota and Mitsubishi, Transtron on the Isuzu 3.0, with Bosch and Continental on some engines. This guide shows which unit you have and what it costs.

- Toyota D-4D (Hilux, Land Cruiser 200 / Prado, Fortuner, HiAce): Denso with NEC processors, and from about 2015 Denso Gen3 RH850 (R7F701202 / R7F701216).
- Isuzu D-Max / MU-X: Transtron on the 2.5 and 3.0 (4JK1, 4JJ1, 4JJ3 - TC265 on 2019+), Bosch EDC17C83 / MD1CS089 / MD1CS018 on the 1.9 - 21 versions.

What workshops order
- Toyota Hilux 2.4 / 2.8 GD and Land Cruiser: AdBlue off on Euro 6 versions, DPF and EGR off, Stage 1. Land Cruiser 200 4.5 V8 - DPF, EGR and AdBlue together.
- Isuzu D-Max: DPF and EGR off, AdBlue off on 2019+ (on some versions the AdBlue unit is separate - send both reads), Stage 1.
- Mitsubishi L200 / Triton: DPF and EGR off, AdBlue on Euro 6.
- Nissan Navara: EGR off, DPF off, "back to original" after another provider's file.
Stage 1 on a pickup that tows: say so in the order, together with the gearbox type - we take the load and the drivetrain into account when we build the file.
Reading and ordering
- Tools: Alientech KESS3 and K-TAG, New Genius, Magic FLEX, CMD, FGTech, PCMflash and other common tools. Older units often read over OBD; Toyota Gen3, Transtron TC265 and Euro 6 units may need bench or boot access depending on the tool.
- In the order form choose the brand (Toyota, Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Mazda), the model, the engine and the ECU type.
FAQ
My Hilux shows "Denso" in the tool. NEC or Gen3?
Roughly, models before 2015 with the KD engines are NEC, the 2GD / 1GD engines from 2015 are Gen3 (RH850). The tool or the label confirms it; the price differs by 10 EUR on Stage 1.
Is the BT-50 3.0 the same as the D-Max?
Since 2020, yes: the BT-50 uses Isuzu's 3.0 4JJ3 with a Transtron ECU. Older BT-50s are Ford Ranger-based with Bosch or Continental units.
Can you return my Navara to stock after another provider's file?
