Shacman is the truck arm of Weichai, so a Shacman is first of all a Weichai engine on wheels. That makes it one of the easier Chinese brands to map: WP8, WP10, WP12, WP13 and WP14 engines, and three control-unit families depending on emission level - Bosch EDC17CV44 for Euro 4-5, Bosch MD1CE100 (sold by Weichai as WISE10) and Continental SID605 (WISE15) for Euro 6 / China VI. Cummins ISM, ISZ and X-series units appear on the export X-range.

Reading and ordering
- Identify the unit first. Weichai paperwork and labels often say WISE10, WISE13 or WISE15 instead of the Bosch or Continental name. WISE10 = Bosch MD1CE100, WISE13 = the related MD1CE101 (both the MD1 family), WISE15 = Continental SID605.
- Read it. EDC17CV44 often over OBD; MD1 and SID605 normally bench or boot. If your tool does not list SID605, ask us before opening the unit.

FAQ
What is the difference between WISE10 and WISE15?
They are Weichai's own names for two different suppliers' units: WISE10 is the Bosch MD1CE100 platform, WISE13 turns up in the software IDs of the related MD1CE101, and WISE15 is the Continental SID605. The prices and the workflow differ, so identify which one you have before ordering.
My X3000 is a Cummins, not a Weichai. Does that change anything?
Yes - completely. A Cummins ISM, ISZ or X-series engine means a Cummins CM control unit (CM876, CM2150E, CM2880, CM2670), a different read procedure and a different price line. Everything we do on American Cummins applies.
Can you cover a model that is not in the list?
Usually yes: for Shacman we hold a combined "all models / all engines" EDC17CV44/CV41/CV54 entry exactly for this. Send the read and we will confirm which line applies.
Is an economy file worth it on a WP12?
It is the most requested job on these trucks after AdBlue off. An ECO map keeps the factory power band and works on consumption at cruising load; it is the same price position as Stage 1.
