Foton is a Cummins truck with a Chinese badge. Beijing Foton Cummins (BFCEC) builds the ISF2.8 and ISF3.8 four-cylinders that power the Aumark and Tunland, and the ISG11 / ISG12 big sixes that power the Auman GTL and ETX. On the export heavy range you will also find the Cummins X12. That means the control units are the same CM families we have been working on for years on American Cummins trucks - CM2220, CM2150, CM2880 and CM2670 - with a handful of Bosch units on the lighter and newer models.

Reading and ordering
- Find the engine first. ISF2.8 / ISF3.8 means CM2220-family; ISG11 / ISG12 means CM2880; X12 means CM2670. The Cummins ECU label carries the part number and the calibration.
- Read it. Cummins units are usually handled with Calterm-type tooling and produce .xcal files - send the file exactly as the tool wrote it. Autotuner, KESS3 and PCMtuner also cover many of them; the Bosch units read on bench or boot.
- Mind the checksum and CVN. On Cummins this is where jobs go wrong. We handle it, but do not re-pack the file yourself afterwards.

FAQ
Is a Chinese Cummins ISF the same as the ones in Europe and the US?
The ISF2.8 and ISF3.8 built by Beijing Foton Cummins use the same CM2220 control-unit family as other Cummins applications, with the same tooling, checksum and CVN handling. The calibrations are Foton-specific, which is why we keep a per-version database.
What is the difference between CM2880 and CM2670 on an Auman?
CM2880 is the ISG11 / ISG12 unit (10.5 and 11.8 L); CM2670 is the X12 / X13 export unit (11.9-13.5 L). Different price lines - CM2670 AdBlue off is 320 EUR against 240-280 EUR on CM2880.
Can you do just an economy file without touching emissions?
Yes. The Stage 1 position also covers ECO files: same price, different target. Say "ECO" in the order comment. On fleets we often combine an ECO map with EGR off only, leaving DPF and SCR in place.
Are the Foton bus and coach chassis listed too?
They are. The ISG11 and ISG12 bus and coach chassis sit under Foton - and under Higer and Yutong as well, because the file is the same for all three. Pick the ISG line that matches your engine, or send the read and we will point you at it.
