Dongfeng is the most mixed brand in this whole guide. Its heavy trucks run three different engine lines - the DCi11 built under Renault licence, Dongfeng's own DDi11 / DDi13 / DDi50 / DDi75, and Cummins engines from the Dongfeng Cummins joint venture - plus Yuchai sixes on some chassis. Each line brings its own control unit: Bosch EDC17CV44, TRW EMS2.3 with a separate AdBlue module, Bosch MD1CE108, Cummins CM2150E / CM2670 / CM2880, Continental ATK-EM-EU6. On top of that the Rich and Captain pickups use Delphi and smaller Bosch units.

The DDi trucks need two reads. On TRW EMS2.3 the AdBlue system lives in its own module (ACM). Read both the engine ECU and the ACM and attach both files, otherwise AdBlue off cannot be done properly. The same rule applies to the Continental MCM / ACM platforms.
Reading and ordering
- Start from the engine plate. DCi11 means EDC17CV44 or Continental ATK-EM-EU6; DDi11 / DDi13 means TRW EMS2.3; DDi50 / DDi75 means MD1CE108; ISZ, ISBe, ISLe or X13 means a Cummins CM unit.
- Read it. EDC17CV44 often over OBD; TRW, MD1 and Cummins usually bench, boot or Calterm-type tooling. Keep the original read.
- Order at fs.auto-remap.com under DongFeng, pick the model, engine and ECU type, upload the read(s) and tick the options.
- Before writing an AdBlue-off file, clear every AdBlue message and countdown from the dashboard.
FAQ
What is a DCi11 and what is a DDi11?
DCi11 is the 10.8 L engine Dongfeng builds under Renault licence (and the ECU is usually a Bosch EDC17CV44 or a Continental ATK-EM-EU6). DDi11 / DDi13 is Dongfeng's own newer family, and it comes with a TRW EMS2.3 engine ECU plus a separate ACM for AdBlue.
Why does the TRW job cost more?
Because there are two control units to read and modify, and the DTC handling is more involved. AdBlue off on TRW EMS2.3 is 240 EUR against 180 EUR on the EDC17CV44.
Is the Dongfeng TRW the same as on Volvo and Renault trucks?
It is the same TRW EMS2 family we work on for Volvo, Renault and Mack, which is where our experience with these units comes from. The calibrations are Dongfeng's own.
Can you work on the Rich and Captain pickups too?
Yes - Delphi DCM7.1 / DCM7.1AP, Bosch EDC17C63, EDC17C81, EDC17CV41 and EDC16C39 are all covered, with DPF, EGR, AdBlue where fitted, Stage 1 and Stage 1+.
