Delete file for the GM 6.6L Duramax L5P with the ACDelco E42 controller running operating system 12748391. Includes DPF, EGR and SCR/AdBlue deactivation together with the related diagnostic trouble codes and limp-home strategies, plus checksum correction. Swirl flaps, throttle valve, lambda, rev limit, speed limiter, gearbox and Stage 1 to Stage 3 — including custom calibration for hybrid turbo builds — can be added to the same order. This is a Global B controller — restore the emission system and clear the dashboard before writing the modified file. HP Tuners workflow for OS 12748391
Most of our customers on these controllers work with HP Tuners — MPVI2+, MPVI3 or MPVI4 with VCM Suite. We work with .hpt files natively: send the file exactly as VCM Editor saved it and you get a .hpt back, ready to write. No conversion, no hex editor, nothing to install on your side.
HP Tuners is the route for the E42, and unlike the E41 it is a send-in service: the ECM has to come out of the truck and go to HP Tuners for the one-time upgrade. After that the module is read and written normally with VCM Suite on an MPVI3 or MPVI4. Plan the job around that — and take the original read while the aftertreatment is still intact, because of the Global B restore rule below.
EFILive, Alientech and bench tooling are supported too — send whatever your tool produced (.hpt, .ctz, .bin) and say which tool you use. We return the file in the same format.
