Chinese buses are Cummins buses. Whatever the badge - Yutong, King Long, Higer, Golden Dragon, Zhongtong - the engine under the floor is almost always a Cummins from the Dongfeng Cummins joint venture: ISBe6.7, ISLe 8.9 L, L9, or an ISG11 / ISG12 on the big coaches. That means a Cummins CM2150E, CM2350A, CM850 or CM2880 control unit, with a Delphi ETC3 on some Yuchai-engined Yutong city buses. For an operator the three problems are always the same: the SCR system stops the bus in service, the DPF regenerates constantly in city traffic, and fuel is the biggest line in the budget.

The typical fleet order. AdBlue off or AdBlue reduction + DPF off + an ECO file, with a Vmax change where the route demands it. AdBlue reduction costs the same as AdBlue off and keeps the system working - the right choice where the bus has to stay compliant on paper but the consumption is the problem.
Reading and ordering
- Find the engine plate. ISBe6.7 and 6.7 L mean CM2150 or CM2220 family; ISLe 8.9 L, L9 and QSL mean CM2350 / CM2350A or CM850; ISG11 / ISG12 mean CM2880; a Yuchai 10.8 L on a Yutong usually means Delphi ETC3.
- Read it. Cummins units are commonly handled with Calterm-type tooling and produce .xcal files - send them exactly as the tool wrote them. Autotuner, KESS3 and PCMtuner also cover many of these; the Bosch and Delphi units want bench or boot.
- Order at fs.auto-remap.com under Yutong, King Long, Higer, Golden dragon or Zhongtong, then the model, engine and ECU type.
- For a fleet, send one bus first. Once the file is proven on that chassis, the rest of the identical buses are quick - tell us it is a fleet job and we will keep the versions together.
- Clear every AdBlue message and inducement countdown from the dashboard before writing an AdBlue-off file.
FAQ
Our buses are all the same model - do we need a file per bus?
You need a file per software version, not per bus. If the software numbers are identical, the same file applies to the whole batch. Different production years usually mean different versions, so read one of each.
Can you do AdBlue reduction instead of a full delete on a city bus?
Yes, at the same price. The SCR system keeps working and the dosing is reduced - the usual choice for operators that must stay compliant.
Why do Higer, Yutong and Foton show the same "Buses/coaches (ISG)" line?
Because the ISG11 and ISG12 coach chassis from those three brands share the same Cummins CM2880 unit and the same file. Pick your own brand and that line.
Will an ECO file cost us power on hills?
No. An ECO map keeps the factory power and torque curve and works on consumption at cruising load. If you want more power as well, that is Stage 1 - same price position, just say which one you want.
Is the Delphi ETC3 on Yutong the same as other Delphi units?
It is its own entry in our price list (DPF 150 EUR, EGR 105 EUR, AdBlue 220 EUR, Stage 1 or ECO 150 EUR) and it is only used on the Yuchai-engined 10.8 L city buses. Newer Yutong chassis moved to Bosch MD1CE108.
