Motorola EMS S8 — Scania EMS S8 on Doosan

This page lists the Scania EMS S8 controller under the spelling “Motorola EMS S8”, as it is written in the source database: 1 software version from 2016 — Doosan DX420LC, with the 12.7 L.

EMS S8 runs the DC09, DC13 and DC16 of the Euro 5 / Euro 6 transition, where a DOC/DPF was added to EGR and SCR. The solution is a full delete — EGR, SCR/AdBlue and DOC/DPF — modified by hand in WinOLS. For AdBlue/SCR off the AdBlue pump module does not have to be removed; if the DOC/DPF is removed, the pump module has to be removed and disconnected as well.

Every software version below has its own page with the vehicle it belongs to, the solutions available for that exact file and a price calculator. Read the ECU, find your number, open the page.

Questions about Motorola EMS S8

Do I need to remove the AdBlue pump?

For AdBlue/SCR off the AdBlue pump module does not have to be removed. If the DOC/DPF is removed, the AdBlue pump module has to be removed and disconnected as well.

Can I remove only the DPF and keep AdBlue?

We do not recommend it: the NOx sensor sees the emissions and the SCR side faults. AdBlue can be removed on its own while the DPF stays in service.
